Thankful Thursday

Thankful this Thursday for life in the slow lane.  About two minutes from my own farmette, I had to stop and let several chickens cross the road.  This little thing was the last to make it, and she was in no hurry.  Her owner has many chickens in various states of growth.  They all cluck around the yard, eat grubs in the garden, and co-exist with two terriers.  Quite a feat, I think.

What are you thankful for this Thursday?
Give it a shout out!!

  12. I'm thankful for my walks that I take every day. It's funny that the first thing that comes to mind when we see this chicken crossing the road is why is this happening. The poor chicken just wants to go home just like us all at the end of our day.
    Have a wonderful day Michelle.

  16. I love that photo. She looks like a hen with a yen for travel! I'm thankful for the turtle that didn't get smoothed on the road this morning but make it across safely.

  17. I am always amazed at the way Canada Geese cross the road in a leisurely fashion, stopping the traffic, and herding their youngsters along. I have only ever seen one road kill so it obviously works for them.
